Vestal Virgin Marble Statue

Nearly a year ago, i did a tutorial for 3Dartist magazine Issue 90 on digitally reconstructing Raffaele Monti's Veiled Vestal Virgin sculpture in ZBrush (Which I've Posted here Before). Now my friend Mohsen Zare and I decided to turn it into a real statue, using 4 axis CNC on Herat Marble stone, as you can see i've managed to carve some lines on the thin parts of the fabrics on her face so that when light shines on side of the statue, as the stone it self is translucent, you can see her mouth and nose. Beside the technical parts, It was a great experience to see a ZBrush model turning into real Stone.
